the most important thing

Questions the world champion women’s soccer team was asked on the morning news programs:

“Have you gotten popular with the fellas?” “When are you planning to get married?”

…Which I suppose is at least better than “USA vs Japan, eh? This ones for Pearl Harbor :)” or “I hope Japan is ready. A third bomb is about to get dropped on their soccer team..USA” or “I couldn’t care less about the earthquakes and tsunamis that have crippled Japan. I hope the US women eviscerate & embarrass the Japs on Sunday. USA! USA! USA!” as some of my lovely American compatriots have been saying.

(“I’m really just concentrating on playing the sport well and dedicating myself to practicing,” replied the absolutely gorgeous Homare Sawa, pictured in the middle. Which is really the only answer you can give to such questions.)

LOL at newscasters and their patronizing questions! I hope if I get the chance to be a reporter in Tokyo or whatever, I don’t succumb to that kind of thinking! ><

Did you get to see any of the game? I know it was on really early morning for you. It was so ドキドキ!I really had no idea who was going to win it until the very end.

ahh, no I didn’t watch it. I actually didn’t know what day of the weekend it was on! Plus I didn’t want to deal with the stress of not knowing who to root for lol.
